As "the Voice of Business in Rockport-Fulton," the Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce works to represent and advance the interests of employers and individuals of Aransas County.
’Whether in the halls of the State Capitol, before governmental agencies or on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., the Rockport-Fulton Chamber strives to promote policies and laws that foster business investment and growth. We also work to defeat laws and regulations that might hinder business profitability.
Among our major victories in the past few years are ones related to Windstorm Insurance for the Texas Coast. We were able to work closely with our State Representatives and State Senators to keep legislation favorable to businesses on the Texas Coast.
The Rockport-Fulton Chamber of Commerce is continuing its statewide public awareness efforts designed to educate our community about the importance of a good business climate and to reinforce the need for fairness and balance in our judicial system.
From grass-roots response to political action, the Chamber is working to make Rockport-Fulton a better place to live, work and do business.
The Rockport-Fulton Chamber's Public Policy goals are three-fold:
- to promote Rockport-Fulton businesses,
- to protect our private sector from excessive government mandates, and
- to prepare the state for a prosperous future.
